To Patriots

It’s harder to be a patriot now

Our members of Congress

Are no longer adept or wise

Congress is a faulty, stagnant

Club of aging degenerates.

We vote, hoping for changes,

But we got worse results

With each elected President,

We get more wars.

Artificially implemented

To keep us on our toes

Fighting the false, ‘aggressive’

Imaginary foes.
