Artistic Soul

To Timothy Dougherty
By Tatiana Pahlen

What happened to my brainy friend
Who knew the theater of the wars?
That globalists prepared for us
Against our wishes!

You fought injustice in the world
disdaining the Neocons.
Your massive letters and emails
Were educative, full of turmoil.
I strove to keep on hold,
To keep a balance in my head.
I even limited your tweets –
only five a day.
It overwhelmed me
To read them all,
Remaining calm and sane.

In the last tweet you seemed irate –
The doctor was a no-show; just his aide.
Earlier you had a heart attack.
You were expecting to get new heart valves
Implanted, but not from a nurse!

I felt ashamed; I hid from you
These articles you sent me,
Without knowing I was the scribe,
And used my pen names to stay unknown.
I never wanted to deceive you:
It took courage to confess after two years,
Once you became my confidant.

You were a giant talent in arts,
Creating your unique universe.
I was in awe the designs
You made so perfectly adverse.

I‘m certain you already sensed
Your days were numbered.
You were in a rush to share your thoughts,
And I kept stopping you.

I realized how wrong I was, limiting your speech.
I scolded you for occupying my time;
We cared about the same things.
You volunteered your voice of support!
You and I never failed to enrich others’ lives.

I don’t know what happened to you;
Were you paralyzed?
I can’t accept you have may left the earth.
I’m praying, Tim you are alive.
I’m searching for more details.

You posted on Twitter an old, classic film
On your final day, the twenty-second of January;
It was named: “Curse of a Fly.”
I watched it and found it bizarre,
Since your Twitter name was MindTraps
Did the nurse crash your wings
Without saying a goodbye?
